You will have the occasion to visit some of the greatest places that Romania has to offer, places like: monasteries, museums, mountain trips, castles, medieval cities, glacier lakes and many more. Our offer covers 2000 km. of Romanian major tourist attractions.

The whole trip is made with 4-star coaches and the accomodation is made in 4-star hotels and pensions along the road.

2. Touristical objectives
 
Carpontica Exquisite tourism program offers you the possibility to visit a wide range of tourist objectives. The main tourist attractions that you will visit are:
 
A. The Bran Castle (also known as Dracula's Castle).
· The Bran Castle is a national monument and a landmark in Romania. The castle is situated between Transylvania and Wallachia. The Bran Castle is one of the Romanian castles related to Count Dracula. Count Dracula is a legend starting from Vlad the Impaler one of Wallachia medieval rulers.
· The Bran Castle is now a museum open for tourists worlwide, it displays art works and furniture collected by Queen Marie 1914 to 1927, wife of Ferdinand I of Romania. The Bran Castle can be visited by tourists, inside and out. The tourists will be guided by a special tour guide. The open air museum offers you the opportunity to see traditional Romanian rural architecture (cottages, barns, etc.) from all across the country.

B. The Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara.

· The Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara is situated in the heart of Transylvania in the historical center of the town Sighisoara. The Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara was built in the 12th century by Saxon colonists under the Latin name Castrum Sex.

· The Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara is inhabited and in 1999 was designated as UNESCO World Heritage. It is the birthplace for Vlad the Impaler (Count Dracula) and it hosts every year, a medieval festival of crafts and arts.

C. The Medieval City of Sibiu, European Capital of Culture in 2007
· The Medieval City of Sibiu is one of the most important cities in Romania, it has German and Hungarian influences. The Medieval City of Sibiu is an important European Cultural Center and it possess a wide range of museums and touristical objectives.
· Some of the main tourist attractions in The Medieval City of Sibiu are:
 
 
 
 
a) ASTRA TRADITIONAL FOLK CIVILIZATION MUSEUM
 
· ASTRA TRADITIONAL FOLK CIVILIZATION MUSEUM is organised into six thematic groups with different exhibits: food production and animal husbandry, production of raw materials, means of transportation, manufacture of household objects, public buildings and an exposition of monumental sculpture.

b) THE EVANGELICAL CATHEDRAL · THE EVANGELICAL CATHEDRAL or the former Dominican church, built in 1474 is the most impressive gothic monument of Sibiu. It has gothic influences on the outside walls and the interior was renovated in baroque style in 1755.

c) THE HOUSE OF CARYATIDS

· THE HOUSE OF CARYATIDS was built in 1781 by a Hungarian noble family and it's one of the most beautiful baroque style buildings in Sibiu. The architecture is unique and the wrought-iron balcony banister is held by two giant caryatids.

d) THE DEFENCE WALLS OF SIBIU

· THE DEFENCE WALLS OF SIBIU represent the remains of the Fortress of Sibiu. There are a lot of streets where you can see those magical majestic architectures: the wall on Manejului Street, the wall on Cetatii Street, the curtain wall on Bastionului Street, the curtain wall on Centumvirilor Street.

e) THE STAIRS PASSAGE OF SIBIU

· THE STAIRS PASSAGE OF SIBIU is one of Sibiu's main touristical objectives. It connects the Upper Town with the Lower Town and here, you can find old houses dating back to the 17th century. The oldest restaurant in Romania can be found on the South Side of the Passage.

D. Constantin Brancusi Memorial House · Constantin Brancusi Memorial House is situated in the southern part of Romania in Hobita Village, the birthplace of Constantin Brancusi. Constantin Brancusi was Romania's finest sculptor, his masterpieces are exposed at Centre Georges Pompidou, Atelier Brancusi in Paris. · The house has a popular architecture of the late nineteenth century and was restored in 1971. You can visit three rooms, a bed and a cellar. The collection includes photographs, albums, documents, books, letters reflecting moments of life and work of Constantin Brancusi. The original interior is rustic, with furniture from the beginning of the twentieth century.

E. Constantin Brancusisculptures from the city of Targu Jiu (Table of Silence, Kissing Gate, Endless Column)

a) The Endless Column has a height of 29.35 meters. The original name was "Column endless gratitude" and it was dedicated to the Romanian soldiers of World War I who died in 1916 in the battles on the banks of the Jiu river.

b) Kissing gate is a stone carving, made by Constantin Brancusi, part of the Monumental Ensemble triptych of Targu Jiu. The kissing symbol is on the face of each column, represented with two halves of a circle, so characteristic for Brancusi's work.

c) The Table of Silence is worked in limestone and it represents the table before battle. The time is present and everything flows silently.

Day 1

Orsova - 8:00 o'clock (local time) - accommodation and breakfast.

To visit:

· Saint Ann Monastery (situated at a distance of 3,7 km from Orsova),

· The Boilers of the Danube,

· The stone carved face of King Decebal,

· Mraconia Monastery (all of this touristic objectives are located near Dubova, 23 km from Orsova).

Lunch on board and then visit:

· Iron Gates 1 Hydroelectric Power Station (situated at a distance of 16 km from Orsova),

· The Iron Gates Museum (situated at a distance of 29 km from Orsova, in the city of Drobeta Turnu Severin).

Dinner and 1st night of accommodation in Orsova.

Day 2

Departure from Orsova at 9:00 o' clock (local time), the next day after breakfast.

The village of Hobita - 11:00 o clock (local time) - to visit the Memorial House Constantin Brancusi.

The city of Targu Jiu - 13:30 o'clock (local time) – to visit:

· the Silence Table,

· the Kissing Gate,

· the Endless Column.

Lunch at restaurant.

Curtea de Arges - 20:00 o'clock (local time)

Dinner and party with Romanian folk music and Romanian cuisine delicacies -2nd night of accommodation in Curtea de Arges.

Day 3

Departure from Curtea de Arges at 9:00 o' clock (local time), the next day after breakfast.

To visit:

· Cozia Monastery (situated at a distance of 45 km from Curtea de Arges),

· Turnu Monastery (situated at a distance of 47 km from Curtea de Arges),

· Stanisoara Monastery (situated at a distance of 49 km from Curtea de Arges),

· Chalet Cozia (situated at a distance of 43 km from Curtea de Arges).

Lunch at Chalet Cozia.

Dinner and 3rd night of accommodation in Curtea de Arges.

Day 4

Curtea de Arges – 09:00 o'clock (local time) – to visit Court of Arges Monastery.

Lunch on board and then visit:

· the Royal Church Museum.

Dinner and Romanian party with traditional drinks and food - 4th night of accommodation in Curtea de Arges.

Day 5

Departure from Curtea de Arges at 9:00 o' clock (local time), the next day after breakfast.

The Bran Castle – 11:00 o'clock (local time) – visit The Bran Castle.

Lunch at restaurant (there are many Romanian restaurants with bio products in the Bran/Moeciu area)

Return in Curtea de Arges 19:00 o'clock – Dinner and 5th night of accommodation.

Day 6

Departure from Curtea de Arges at 9:00 o' clock (local time) the next day after breakfast.

The Vidraru Dam – 10:00 o'clock – The Vidraru Dam is visited for 2 hours and at 12 o'clock, we departure to Lake Balea.

Chalet Lake Balea – 13:00 o'clock (local time) – visiting the Balea Lake for 2 hours, we have lunch and then we departure to Sambata de Sus Monastery.

Sambata de Sus Monastery – 17:00 o'clock (local time) – the monastery is visited 2 hours and after that we departure to Sibiu.

Sibiu – 20:00 (local time) – Dinner and Romanian party with drinks, traditional food and Romanian folk music - 6th night of accommodation.

Day 7

Breakfast and after 9:00 o'clock (local time) we visit the city's main touristical objectives.

The main touristical objectives are:

· The Council Tower,

· ASTRA Traditional Folk Civilization Museum ,

· Franz Binder Ethnography Museum,

· The Astra Park,

· The Evanghelical Cathedral,

· The Ursuline Church,

· The House with Cariatyds,

· Roman Catholic Church,

· The Orthodox Cathedral,

· The Thick Tower,

· The Defence Walls,

· The Stairs Passage.

Dinner and 7th night of accommodation in Sibiu.

Day 8

Departure from Sibiu at 9:00 o' clock (local time) the next day after breakfast.

The Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara – 11:00 o'clock (local time) – Accommodation and then we visit:

· the Medieval Citadel,

· the Clock Tower,

· the Tin-men's Tower,

· the Butchers' Tower,

· the Shoemakers' Tower,

· the Tailors' Tower,

· the Furriers' Tower,

· Blacksmiths' Tower,

· the Rope Makers Tower,

· the Tanners' Tower,

· the Monastery Church,

· the Church on the Hill,

· the Venetian House,

Dinner and party - 8th night of accommodation in Sighisoara.

Day 9

Departure from Sighisoara at 9:00 o' clock the next day after breakfast.

Cluj-Napoca - 12:00 o'clock – accommodation, lunch on board and then visit:

· the Old Center,

· the Botanical Garden.

Dinner and 9th night of accommodation in Cluj-Napoca.

Day 10

Departure to Budapest at 8:00 o'clock (local time) the tenth day, after breakfast.

Lunch break, at a restaurant near the Meses mountains.

Budapest Ferihegy 1 18:00 o'clock (local time) – The plane takes off at 19:00 o'clock (local time) to Stockholm.

Stockholm – 21:15 (local time).
